Increasing admissions:
Despite their impressive alumni and beautifully situated campus in one of the fastest growing cities in America, Seattle Pacific University competes against several other universities to recruit the diverse and dynamic student body they were looking for. They needed to differentiate themselves and create media tools that could cut through the noise to reach their future students.
solution
Working across marketing, admissions, alumni relations, philanthropy, theater, and music departments we built a incremental storytelling campaign that elevated the Seattle Pacific University story to use the city of Seattle and the power of alumni and outstanding diverse student storytelling in TV spots, social media spots, and even a 45-minute comedic Christmas musical that reached 22 states and six countries. We looked across departments for incredible stories and human beings. We created a dynamic range of storytelling pieces that celebrated their 125-year heritage alongside their commitment to progressive growth. Over the course of six years, we helped them raise their national profile. Unfortunately, in 2020 the University’s board decided not to hire professors who were openly gay. At that point we discontinued our work with the university. We will happily return when better decisions are made.
