Fundraising + Community Building:
Overlake began as a small community hospital in what was then an agricultural community in Washington State called Bellevue. Microsoft was born and put its campus next door. As a nonprofit community hospital, Overlake needed to grow alongside its exploding population, but they struggled to tell their story and raise the annual support they needed to serve the community.
It began with a powerful TV spot we made in anticipation of the Olympics many years ago. Since then we’ve helped Overlake tell its story to the community in national award-winning cinéma vérité commercials, documentaries, and campaigns that have raised millions of dollars and the support of a growing and diverse community.
During Covid-19, we transitioned all their fundraising efforts to online immersive storytelling experiences. Storytelling. No webinars. No awkward Teams or Zoom events. We raised millions of dollars over those two years without the costly overhead of in-person events. People said it couldn’t be done but we did it by telling powerful stories and distributing to the people in realistic (self-directed) and technologically savvy means.
As we continue to evolve with how to best reach their community, we continue to create great TV content from true stories as well as documentaries, animations, and photography campaigns.
Our healthcare organization has partnered with Soulcraft for over 10 years. They bring fresh ideas and new creative concepts to each engagement, and they always knock it out of the park. They work well with our team members and external partners. They take on each new assignment with energy and enthusiasm. Our viewers have come to expect the high-end work they produce, and we all win as a result. Happy to provide more information to anyone interested in hearing more from a very satisfied customer!
